Starting a business doesn’t have an age limit

My first blog post of 2021, how embarrassing.

Anyway, we’re leading in with a strong statement. For those of you who don’t know, I’m 25 years old (26 this year, ew). More often than not, I’m the youngest person in the room when I’m networking and schmoozing, and that’s totally fine - it gives me an edge.

But my age doesn’t define the quality of my work. Of course, there may be things that a person of 25 years of experience may have an understanding of that I may not have been brushed with yet - but that doesn’t mean I am any less hard-working, any less dedicated, or any less passionate about my craft.

This is my official declaration: just because I’m younger, doesn’t mean I’m less capable of running my business.

When the room is only filled with middle-aged men - and god knows, they’re great (sometimes) - of course, a 25-year-old girl stands out like a sore thumb. But that doesn’t mean we can be overlooked and ignored. It simply means we need to acknowledge the uncomfortable elephant in the room; you can start a business at any age, and if you do, then you are just as prepared as anyone else.

My age never hinders me, it allows me to offer a new lense - one that you and your company may not have considered before.
